Kruja is the place where Albania’s history begins and its true character is felt. We will travel to the hometown of the national hero Skanderbeg — the man who became a symbol of Albania’s freedom. The tour begins at Kruja Castle: narrow cobblestone streets, ancient walls, the Bektashi tekke, and panoramic views over the valley and the Adriatic Sea. You will see the olive tree that, according to legend, was planted by Skanderbeg himself and understand why Kruja is called the “balcony of the Adriatic.” Next — a walk through the famous Old Bazaar, the largest in Albania. Here you will experience the true spirit of the Balkans: handmade carpets, filigree silver, embroidered textiles, olive wood crafts, and many unique souvenirs. If you wish, we can also visit the Ethnographic Museum to explore local traditions more deeply. At the end of the tour we will drive up to Mount Sari Salltik, where you will enjoy lunch at a restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views — a place to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Kruja is not just a destination, but a place with character, history, and soul.
